Job summary

Target in Suffolk, VA is seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2) to install, maintain, and repair automated material handling equipment and ensure high equipment availability. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and restore service quickly to support our supply chain operations.

You will collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and Senior Engineers, train junior staff, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license for state employment.
• PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
• Experience in work order management and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and robotics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot MHE on site, including conveyors, sortation, robotics, and AS/RS.
• Operate and troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, and PLCs.
• Assist with electronics troubleshooting and basic robotics maintenance.
• Create and close Work Orders using asset management systems.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safe, reliable equipment operation.
