Job summary

Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks under supervision. You will assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building components to keep the community safe and functional.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, documenting work, supporting move-ins/move-outs, and maintaining clean, organized areas while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal training or prior work in building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to learn maintenance procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with residents, staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and repairs across the facility.
• Completes work orders in a timely and professional manner and reports unresolved issues.
• Assists with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building tasks.
• Supports move-ins and move-outs, including setup of utilities or services.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and safe operation of tools and equipment.
• Participates in training to develop skills across multiple trades.
