  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Technicians assist in maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds in a safe, clean, and functional condition.**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**1. Follows all OSHA standards, departmental safety procedures, and community policies.2. Completes assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner. Documents work performed and reports any unresolved issues to the supervisor.3. Assists with basic maintenance and repairs involving heating and air conditioning systems, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other building components.4. Works as a team member in performing preventive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and community infrastructure.5. Assists in refurbishing vacated apartments, including basic repairs, painting, cleaning, and inspections to ensure readiness for occupancy.6. Assists with resident move-ins and move-outs, including hanging pictures, moving furniture, and supporting utility or communication service setups.7. Assists with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and materials for residents and departments throughout the community.8. Assists with trash removal and disposal activities as assigned.9. Performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on appliances and equipment, including disposals, dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, and HVAC equipment.10. Operates maintenance equipment, tools, and vehicles safely and responsibly.11. Carries and responds to maintenance communication devices, including radios, as assigned.12. Maintains clean and organized work areas, vehicles, storage rooms, and maintenance shops.13. Participates in training opportunities to develop skills in multiple maintenance trades.14.
