Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a maintenance technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday-Wednesday, 9:00pm–7:30am) to set up, service, and repair conveyors, automation, and robotics at our Grayslake facility. You will troubleshoot, document in CMMS, and assist with building projects and safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of related experience, and the ability to travel up to 10% for business. OT may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance.
• Fundamental understanding of machinery/equipment.
• Basic skill level in multiple computer software packages including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and ability to troubleshoot these systems.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business (within state and out of state).
• Must be able to stand for 8–12 hours, 6 days a week.
• Able to operate material handling equipment (fork truck).
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Document work in CMMS and maintain engine/testing logs for critical systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of major downtime events.
• Assist mechanics on two-person tasks and on building/facility projects.
• Assemble and test equipment to verify operation and record delays and corrective actions.
