Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep our fully automated bakery production plant operating safely and meeting production needs.

The role requires strong knowledge of piping, electrical, welding, and fabrication, plus experience with SAP and PLC troubleshooting. 8+ years of related experience and a willingness to work 10 PM – 6:30 AM shifts are expected in this on-site Connecticut facility.

Qualifications

• Education - high school diploma or equivalent; trade school certificate or an Associate degree.
• Experience - Eight or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills - Ability to learn and correctly utilize programs such as SAP to properly document daily work.
• Other Skills - read machine prints/schematics; use hand and power tools correctly and safely; able to operate tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Have advanced knowledge of industrial piping, electrical, welding, and fabricating to set up, modify, repair, and troubleshoot problems on plant production and facility equipment.
• Diagnose machine control issues by accessing the programmable logic controller (PLC) and/or troubleshooting other machine control components.
• Respond to line calls; complete corrective and preventative work orders as assigned.
• Effectively maintain control of multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Utilize maintenance inventory system and shop computer terminals to locate and check-out necessary parts for work.
