Job summary

Villa Sport Athletic Club in Katy, TX is hiring a facilities repair technician for full-time work at our club. You will perform maintenance on equipment and pools, following safety and quality standards while minimizing disruption to members and guests.

We value hands-on experience in handyman roles and prefer candidates with trade school training. A high school diploma or GED is required. The company offers benefits including a 401(k) match and complimentary club access.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure that assigned repair and maintenance projects and responsibilities are completed on a timely basis, following all safety procedures and meeting all quality standards, while minimizing any impact on members and guests' full enjoyment of the property- Assist the Facilities Director in meeting the property's objective of well-maintained and fully operational facilities and equipment. Individuals with flexible schedules desired as weekend, evening and holidays may be required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• Hourly, based on relevant experience to the role. Full-time hours.

• Knowledge of safe and proper use of tools, machinery, cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• At least 4 years in a "handyman" or repair technician role with broad exposure to different types of equipment and systems.
• Able to read, understand and follow checklists, project instructions, and the directions on the equipment and chemicals used in performing duties.
• Able to follow instructions to completion.
• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• CPO certificate preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
