Job summary

Central Bethany is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team in Portland, OR. The role involves performing commercial facility repairs, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related maintenance tasks across Central Bethany’s properties.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11:00am - 7:30pm with on-call duties rotating weekly including evenings and weekends. Driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years maintenance experience in residential and/or 1-2 years in commercial.
• Must have a valid, current driver’s license.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, walk, climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of maintenance tasks, work orders and repairs across commercial properties.
• Proactively address issues before they impact operations or tenant experience.
• Maintain punctual, regular attendance and teamwork or independence as needed.
• Communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure.
• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical faults with high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors while upholding high quality standards.
• Provide updates to Property Management on repair timelines and budget usage.
• Perform maintenance and repair work including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC and appliances.
