Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 to execute a preventative maintenance program and support troubleshooting of the facility's material handling equipment. You will help design maintenance solutions and participate in projects that help the building and department achieve goals.

The role requires safety focus, ability to work up to 12-hour shifts, lifting up to 49 lbs, and collaboration with operations and other departments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of power tools and pneumatics/hydraulics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Support the troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing material handling systems & conveyors.
• Assist with designing maintenance solutions and maintenance projects.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor and boom lifts.
• Create and close out work orders with labor hours and parts used.
• Maintain positive relationships across departments.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
