Job summary

General Mills in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to provide frontline safety and technical leadership for a 2nd shift maintenance team. You will guide mechanics and specialists, drive root-cause problem solving, and deliver platform reliability improvements.

This hands-on role requires strong collaboration, budget awareness, and consistency in daily management practices, including 90 Day actions, DDS meetings, and maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing or frontline leadership experience.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Proven ability to reduce losses and improve performance.
• Technical knowledge of unit operations and machinery.
• Experience with data analysis systems (Maximo, SAP).

Responsibilities

• Lead Safety culture and food safety initiatives on the line.
• Direct the work of maintenance mechanics and specialists.
• Drive daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance meetings (DDS).
• Maintain maintenance foundational systems and documentation.
• Use problem-solving tools to identify root causes and improvements.
