Job summary

General Mills, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) to provide frontline safety leadership and technical guidance across the plant.

You will lead mechanics, manage maintenance capability, and drive data‑driven problem solving to reduce losses and improve reliability. You will direct daily DDS activities, oversee DSU initiatives, and ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing, frontline leadership, or technical leadership experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Success in driving results through process and teamwork.
• Proven history of reducing losses and improving performance in a manufacturing setting.
• Technical capability and knowledge of unit operations and machinery (at least one production platform).
• Strong communication between work groups and cross-functional resources.
• Foundational data analysis skills and knowledge of systems like SAP, Maximo, MQIS.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and cultivate a safety culture for people and food safety.
• Direct maintenance mechanics and build platform capability.
• Lead daily, weekly, monthly DDS meetings and ensure metric accuracy.
• Oversee maintenance foundational systems and defect handling across the platform.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Asset Care Leader on planning, scheduling, and priorities.
• Manage maintenance budget and annual cost planning; oversee shutdowns.
