Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Supervisor to join our UniFirst community. You will ensure all facility equipment is efficiently functioning and identify areas to improve processes, maintenance practices and on-going training for all maintenance staff.

At UniFirst we have a standard Monday - Friday work week with periodic night and weekend overtime. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and parts management.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using blueprints and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform and manage preventive maintenance on facilities and assets.
• Follow blueprints and specs with a documented schedule.
• Monitor and adjust boiler chemical and wastewater treatment systems.
• Manage and assign equipment maintenance across shifts.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance in maintenance.
• Train and develop maintenance staff; supervise maintenance personnel.
