Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor for silicon assembly (Starlink). You will lead shift teams to ensure 24/7 reliability of advanced production equipment used in semiconductor packaging, including photolithography and metrology systems.

The role emphasizes preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and strong safety discipline in a high-volume environment. Occasional shifts and strong collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or technical certification or 3+ years in industrial maintenance.
2+ years in a high-volume manufacturing/operations environment.
1+ years in a supervisory or lead position.
Experience with semiconductor, solar, or advanced automation equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

Lead shift teams of equipment maintenance technicians for 24/7 reliability of silicon assembly production equipment.
Execute preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies targeting high availability and OEE.
Drive rapid troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions on photolithography, die prep, grind/polish, AOI, reflow, die bonding, etc.
Coordinate with production, process engineering, and facilities to schedule maintenance with minimal output impact.
Manage spare parts inventory, vendor coordination, and purchase requisitions on shift to minimize downtime.
Support continuous improvement, TPM implementation, and factory scaling initiatives.
Ensure safety protocols, LOTO, cleanroom standards, and regulatory compliance during all maintenance activities.
Train and develop technicians; foster technical excellence, accountability, and urgency on the floor.
