Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor for silicon assembly (Starlink). You will lead a high-performance team responsible for insourcing of custom ICs and packages from prototyping to high-volume production, collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and operations in a fast-paced cleanroom.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing leadership, hands-on with safety-critical equipment, and a track record in Lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree with 3+ years in manufacturing/test or 5+ years in lieu of a degree.
3+ years hands-on experience with safety-critical systems and multi-axis heavy equipment.
3+ years of formal team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of manufacturing specialists and equipment maintenance personnel for process development and high-volume ramp.
Own safety performance and training compliance.
Develop and mentor team through training and performance management.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping to reduce waste and improve throughput and quality.
Develop and execute daily production plans based on commitments, manpower, equipment capacity, and material availability.
Analyze production data and lead root cause analysis (5Why, 8D, A3).
Take corrective actions to maintain quality and meet customer requirements.
Partner with engineering on design for manufacturability and process standardization.
Act as the primary technical decision-maker for production, efficiency, and personnel matters.
