Domtar Corporation in Hawesville, KY is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a crew of journey-level mechanical and electrical-instrumentation staff, ensuring reliability and maintainability of equipment. The role emphasizes safety culture and proactive safety leadership in a 24/7 operation.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will oversee work planning, review work requests, and ensure on-time completion of tasks while fostering collaboration across operations and maintenance

Qualifications

Technical/trade school diploma with emphasis in mechanical technology and a minimum of two (2) years of maintenance supervision experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and one (1) year of maintenance supervision experience
Personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a culture of safety excellence
Safety & team oriented with a good work ethic, positive attitude & the ability to lead a crew of Mechanics
Familiar with reliability-centered maintenance practices & predictive maintenance tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis, ultrasonic analysis
Strong equipment & system troubleshooting aptitude
Good written & oral communication skills to communicate technical activities across all levels of the organization
Willingness to support 24/7 operation

Responsibilities

Supervise and support a crew of Journey-level Mechanical and/or Electrical-Instrumentation employees
Identify and implement improvements in process and equipment reliability in their area
Provide technical assistance and reliability leadership to operations & maintenance personnel
Review requests for work and oversee the work order flow to completion
