Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–6 years of experience in an industrial mill as a Mechanical/Maintenance Engineer preferred.
• Maintenance experience in industrial/process plant environment.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization, including senior leaders.
• Selection process may include interviews, background check, drug screen, references, aptitude tests, and fitness-for-duty tests.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and predictive maintenance: develop, implement, and track maintenance schedules to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshooting and repair: diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Installation and upgrades: recommend and implement equipment improvements.
• Safety and compliance: ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations; follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Record-keeping: maintain records using CMMS.
• Collaboration: coordinate with production, operations, and management; communicate with stakeholders.
• Leadership: lead maintenance crew in supervisor's absence; oversee contractors.
• Planning: develop job and project planning for outages.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
