Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• If no degree, at least 5+ years of practical experience in a paper facility.
• If degree, at least 2+ years of experience in a paper facility.
• Experience in Process Safety Management is a plus.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders, operate valves, wear respirators, and enter confined spaces.
• Willing to work a 12-hour rotating shift (4 on, 4 off) or as assigned.
• Ability to function independently in a 24/7 operation.
• Microsoft Office and payroll/timekeeping software proficiency.

• Proactive safety leader championing Domtar safety principles.
• Lead the Fine Paper Mill department and support its goals.
• Commit to open communication across the team.
• Engage workforce for continuous improvement and results.
• Represent Domtar with honesty regarding safety policy and PPE.
• Assign, review, and plan work for crews and maintenance support.
• Resolve union disagreements at the first level.
• Set expectations and manage performance with improvement plans.
• Develop training for the hourly team and onboarding.
• Support crew training per DAWS requirements.
