Job summary

Domtar in Hawesville, Kentucky, seeks an experienced Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead the Maintenance, Reliability, IT and Engineering teams. You will develop strategies to improve asset reliability and ensure safe, cost-effective operations at the mill.

As a member of the Mill leadership team you will manage capital projects, optimize CMMS and spare parts inventory, and drive continuous improvement across maintenance disciplines while mentoring staff and delivering on budget targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience leading maintenance and reliability in industrial environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience implementing & optimizing reliability maintenance systems and processes.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and facility systems.
• Excellent leadership skills that include coaching and developing team members.
• Experience developing and managing budgets to maximize asset reliability.
• Demonstrated planning, organizing and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook proficiency.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools.
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and oral.

• Provide strategic leadership to the Maintenance, Reliability, IT and Engineering Teams.
• Develop strategies to improve plant asset reliability.
• Ensure safe, efficient management of maintenance, engineering and reliability processes.
• Manage planned projects on time and on budget.
• Lead Maintenance, Reliability & Engineering Teams and drive change.
• Optimize CMMS, spare parts inventory, and maintenance work to minimize downtime.
