Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work that keeps the community’s interior, grounds, and common areas clean, safe, and functional.

You will handle work orders, assist with the make-ready process for leasing and move-ins, supervise quality of repairs, and help maintain budgeted supplies and safety compliance. The role requires hands-on skills and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Knowledge of hand/power tools and safe use.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the source of defects and perform repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Complete the make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate with vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and buildings.
• Inspect work by others and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to specs.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials and assist with budgeting and cost control.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance and MSDS availability.
