Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work across the community. Responsibilities include responding to service requests, completing make-ready tasks, and ensuring the property meets company standards for cleanliness and safety.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, experience in property management maintenance or related trades, and tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be skilled with hand/power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and safety standards.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process for vacant units, coordinating inspections, punch lists, and vendor scheduling.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, and building exteriors to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by staff to ensure policy compliance and performance.
• Inspects contracted work to verify quality and conformance with specifications.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates with the Community Manager on supplies within budget.
