Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment operates efficiently and to identify areas for process improvements. The role includes coordinating preventive maintenance, supervising staff, and managing safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, supervisory experience preferred, and proficiency with blueprints, PLCs, and CMMS. On-site work with possible overtime and lifting up to 80 lbs. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school or GED preferred.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be 21+; valid driver’s license.
• 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Experience supervising maintenance staff preferred.
• Reading blueprints/schematics required.
• Reading maintenance literature in English required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance on facilities and assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals per schedule.
• Maintain boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment testing.
• Manage and assign all equipment maintenance.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance.
• Train and develop maintenance staff.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
