Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to drive maintenance programs. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, oversee preventive maintenance, and supervise maintenance staff across shifts while coordinating with production management.

The role requires reading blueprints, CMMS usage, budgeting and vendor management, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment.
• 2+ years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Familiar with budgeting, planning, and vendor management.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Manage and assign maintenance, including repairs outside normal hours.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance within the maintenance department.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Train and develop maintenance staff and coordinate with Production Manager.
