Job summary

UniFirst in Anderson, IN is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment operates efficiently and to lead the maintenance staff in improving processes and training. The role involves diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues, performing inspections, and overseeing preventive maintenance across production assets.

On-call shifts and overtime may be required; on-the-job training is provided. You will manage budgets with the Production Manager, implement regulatory and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred; two-year technical degree preferred.
• 21+ years old with valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment.
• Knowledgeable in wiring, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing maintenance.
• 3+ years repairing industrial processing equipment; 2+ years supervising maintenance.
• Maintenance administration: planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics; English maintenance literature.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with maintenance systems.
• Lockout/Tagout experience; overtime flexibility; ability to lift 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and related control systems.
• Perform and assign all preventive maintenance on assets.
• Follow blueprints and manuals per schedule; use engineering specs.
• Manage and assign maintenance, including off-hours repairs.
• Oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and training status.
• Utilize a computerized maintenance management system.
• Collaborate with Production Manager on budget for building/equipment.
• Train and develop maintenance staff; perform other duties as assigned.
