Job summary

UniFirst in Brownsburg, IN seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment operates efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the Production Manager to manage budgets.

On-call overtime may be required. We offer on-the-job training, a Monday–Friday pattern with occasional night/weekend overtime, and a culture emphasizing safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• 2+ years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, parts management, and maintenance systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance within the department.
• Budget development and management with production manager.
