Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility equipment runs efficiently and to identify process improvements. The role involves supervising maintenance staff, managing budgets, and overseeing regulatory compliance.

This on-site position requires reading blueprints and schematics, plus hands-on skills in welding, PLCs, and PLC control systems. You’ll lead maintenance operations, schedule preventive tasks, and mentor technicians while collaborating with the Production

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum of 2 years supervising maintenance personnel.
• Experience in maintenance administration including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management, and CMMS.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics; understand maintenance literature in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hand and power tools; lockout/tagout experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding for facility/equipment repairs.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and control systems; ensure preventive maintenance on assets.
• Manage and assign maintenance tasks; maintain schedules and parts/labor budgets.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance within the maintenance department.
• Oversee training and development of maintenance staff; use the CMMS tool.
