Qualifications

• 7-10 years of maintenance experience in a heavy-industrial environment; experience in power generation, manufacturing, chemical processing, or similar.
• Proven supervisory or managerial experience leading industrial maintenance personnel.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, steam turbines, rotating machinery, electrical systems, instrumentation, and plant equipment.
• Experience applying safety, environmental, and labor laws/regulations.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (ALM, MMM, Experion, PeopleSoft) or similar.
• Strong understanding of work management, planning and scheduling, preventive/predictive maintenance, mechanical integrity, reliability, and QA.
• Experience planning/leading major scheduled/unplanned maintenance outages.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial management experience.
• Experience managing spare-parts inventory, contractors, purchasing activities, and maintenance materials.
• Experience writing maintenance procedures, contractor scopes of work, bid packages, and purchase requisitions.
• Familiarity with RCA, FMEA, and other reliability-improvement tools.
• Strong leadership, coaching, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data-driven maintenance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a safety leader, ensuring maintenance work complies with all safety and environmental requirements (NERC, NFPA, NEC).
• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities, improving processes, system utilization, and PM/RCM programs.
• Supervise and develop a multidisciplinary maintenance team (Mechanics, Welders, Techs, Storekeepers).
• Manage the maintenance work-order process: planning, scheduling, backlog monitoring, prioritization, execution, closeout, QA.
• Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on boilers, auxiliaries, and equipment.
• Partner with Procurement on contractor management and strategic sourcing.
• Develop, implement, maintain maintenance procedures and regulatory-compliance documentation.
• Investigate equipment failures and apply root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S) to boost safety, reliability, productivity, and cost.
• Communicate risks, priorities, strategies, and results to operators, engineers, quality teams, and site leadership.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
• Provide coverage for rotating shifts, weekends, outages, and on-call needs as required.
