Job summary

Greystar seeks a maintenance technician to ensure indoor and outdoor community areas meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and manage common tasks to keep 296 units in top condition.

You will oversee make-ready processes, monitor vendor work, and maintain tools and inventory while supporting budgeting and safety initiatives. Flexible hours and on-site work are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and know safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs; property management system experience preferred.
• Solid math skills for administrative and financial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident requests and diagnose defects, making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units; coordinate inspections, scheduling, and vendor follow-up.
• Set cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, order supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in policies.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Participate in safety meetings and stay current on OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrate strong customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly.
