Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain apartment communities. The role involves handling resident service requests, completing make-ready tasks for vacant units, and upholding Greystar quality across the property.

The position requires high school level education, hands-on maintenance experience, and strong customer service. On-site work includes on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays, with comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; skilled in safe use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to think logically to identify and solve problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and teams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues from resident service requests following safety standards and policies.
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing and move-ins, including inspections and vendor coordination.
• Set maintenance standards to reflect Greystar quality across grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and external contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with Community Manager for budget-conscious purchasing.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual.
