Job Title

Facilities Mechanical Shift Supervisor

Basic Function

The Facilities Mechanical Shift Supervisor is a hands‑on tech who completes service work and repairs, and oversees the workload of maintenance technicians. The supervisor ensures the quality and efficiency of work being performed.

• Status: Full time
• Availability: 3rd shift
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Pay rate: $26.50 per hour + $1 per hour overnight differential.
• Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Training Center.

Essential Functions

• Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel.
• Completes preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) throughout the hotel.
• Supervises maintenance techs, ensuring that the team is working efficiently and producing high‑quality results. Conducts inspections of work performed.
• Assists with training, motivating and supporting maintenance techs.
• Assists with performance management of maintenance techs by providing both positive and corrective feedback, recognizing the team with employee of the month and on‑the‑spot recognition, and recommending coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS systems, and life safety systems (training will be provided).
• Location: Benchmark Hospitality at Deloitte University Hotel & Training Center.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Two years of related experience (e.g., HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen, laundry, etc.) required.
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of building systems and equipment such as:
  • HVAC equipment
  • Refrigeration equipment
  • Kitchen equipment
  • Laundry equipment
• One year of experience in supervising or leading a team preferred.
• Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook. Microsoft Word, Excel and Teams desirable.
• Knowledge and use of a service ticketing system preferred. HotSOS experience desirable.
• Texas driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• Must be 21+ years old due to vehicle insurance requirements.

Compensation

Base pay: $26.50 per hour with an additional $1 per hour overnight differential.
