The technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance on various mechanical equipment throughout the hotel, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace. The successful candidate will possess proficiency with hand and power tools and must have a valid Texas driver’s license.

Position Overview

Mechanical Preventative Maintenance Technician – Full‑time, 1st shift, $20 per hour, located at Benchmark Hospitality, Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center.

Essential Functions

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the hotel, including HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry equipment, and small equipment such as vacuums.
• Execute duty rounds using daily checklists, reporting and correcting noted problems.
• Identify problems, initiate work orders, complete assigned repairs, and maintain accurate logs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workspace, using PPE and following safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of tools in use.
• Operate the maintenance request system correctly; training will be provided.
• Assist with maintenance requests for other trades when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar mechanical maintenance role.
• Ability to read and interpret property blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand, power, and diagnostic tools.
• Valid Texas driver’s license preferred.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20. Actual compensation packages may vary based on experience, certifications, and location.
