UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment operates efficiently. You will identify process improvements, lead maintenance staff, and manage preventive maintenance programs while coordinating with the Production Manager on budget and resources.

The role requires experience in mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Overtime may be required, and the company emphasizes training and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a two-year technical degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel.
• Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment to be eligible for employment.
• Proficiency with reading blueprints and schematics; English maintenance literature.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
• Must be able to work overtime and lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action using blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and related control systems.
• Perform and supervise preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow manuals and engineering specs using a documented maintenance schedule.
• Oversee safety and regulatory compliance within maintenance.
• Manage and assign maintenance tasks and budgets.
• Train and develop maintenance staff.
