Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team across our Florida properties. You will oversee daily tasks, preventative maintenance, and vendor coordination, ensuring safety and quality in line with company policies.

Ideal candidates bring HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, strong communication, and hands-on leadership. This full-time role offers on-site work, competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel in conjunction with the manager.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take the initiative to improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs and provide 24-hour service in emergencies.
• Be available on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
