Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team, handle property upkeep, and ensure safety and compliance. The role requires knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, plus hands-on skills with power tools, and a track record in property maintenance.

You will schedule tasks, supervise staff, coordinate vendors, and manage inventories, responding to on-call service requests and evictions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and prepare vacant units for occupancy.
• Assist with interviewing and screening potential service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Train service, housekeeping/custodial, and grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure staff attendance and accountability.
• Coordinate vendor work and supervision.
• Manage inventory, ordering and delivery of supplies.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards are followed.
• Handle lock-outs after evictions; provide 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available on-call.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure tools are on hand.
