Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to manage in-building care, ground upkeep, and safety compliance. The role handles resident service requests, ensures quality repairs, and supports budgeting for repairs and capital projects.

You will oversee make-ready, verify contractor work, and maintain inventory while emphasizing cost-effective, reliable maintenance practices across community spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; skilled with tools.
• Apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively to support management.
• Proficient with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; PM systems preferred.
• Mathematical skills to handle numbers for documents and admin tasks.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certifications where required.
• Valid driver's license to operate on-site equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep.
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and buildings.
• Periodically inspect work to assess policy effectiveness and take corrective action.
• Inspect contractors and vendors to verify quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and order supplies as needed.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance as outlined in policy.
• Help develop budget for regular repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing instead of replacing when possible.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure OSHA and MSDS compliance.
