Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring the community meets Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose and repair defects, manage the make-ready process for vacants, and uphold high standards for grounds and interiors while coordinating with vendors and the Community Manager. This role emphasizes safety, resident service, and cost-conscious maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and use them safely.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs; PM system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills for basic arithmetic and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in units, grounds, and common areas per policies and safety standards.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant homes, inspections, and scheduling of vendors.
• Develop cleanliness/appearance standards for grounds, interiors and amenities.
• Periodically inspect work by team members to ensure quality and compliance.
• Inspect contractors and vendors to verify materials meet specifications.
• Maintain inventory of parts and order supplies within budget.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist Community Manager with budget for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by sensible use of materials and proper tool usage.
• Lead safety meetings, maintain MSDS records, and stay current on OSHA requirements.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and respond to concerns with urgency.
