Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical work ensuring building and community areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. Experience with make-ready processes and preventive maintenance is preferred.

The role includes inspecting work, coordinating vendors, maintaining inventory, and supporting budget planning while upholding Greystar safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and know safe use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management and interact with residents and staff.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs; property management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees the make-ready process to prepare vacant units for leasing and move-ins, including inspections and coordinating vendors.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by service team members and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and materials and assists in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
