Job summary

Transdev North America is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and support the Maintenance Manager. The role focuses on safe, compliant, and efficient vehicle maintenance across sites, ensuring DOT specifications are met and records are accurate.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, coordinating tasks, managing equipment inventories, and driving process improvements to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
• Must have 3+ years’ experience dealing with heavy equipment.
• Experience with hybrid vehicles.
• Experience working with Unions in transportation.
• Must supervise employees on multiple shifts.
• ASE certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Hire, coach, counsel, and discipline staff per policy.
• Manage equipment, parts, and supplies inventories.
• Ensure licenses and certifications are current.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities.
• Identify cost reduction and process improvements.
• Develop preventive maintenance programmes.
• Perform other duties to ensure efficient operation.
