Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Maintenance Foreman to supervise mechanics, plan and assign work, and monitor productivity for maximum efficiency on shift. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on diagnostic ability, and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Supervise mechanics and oversee performance, planning and assigning work to maximize labor utilization.
• Monitor productivity and perform quality audits on work performed on shift.
• Provide feedback to Maintenance Manager on employee performance and training needs.
• Ensure proper utilization of client software by assigned personnel.
• Maintain safety and compliance with shift/reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanics, investigates issues and problems, provides information concerning employee performance.
• Work with Maintenance Manager to monitor productivity and perform quality audits on work performed on assigned shift.
• Provide feedback to Maintenance Manager on employee performance and training needs.
• Assist with monitoring and meeting standards/analytical targets (e.g., Mean Distance Between Failures, Cost Per Mile).
• Plan and assign work for employees to maximize labor utilization and competencies.
• Consult with mechanics on diagnosis and procedures for repair and assist with questions.
