Job summary

Transdev North America in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to supervise a diesel technician team, ensuring timely diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel vehicles and equipment. The AMM will lead safety and quality standards and coordinate workloads to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, a technical background, and a passion for delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years as a diesel technician with proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage and motivate a team.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock to support maintenance while minimizing waste.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on diesel engines and components per OEM specs and industry standards.
• Coach and monitor members of the work team.
• Other duties as required.
