Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) in Michigan seeks a Maintenance Leader to establish standards, mentor the team, and drive maintenance programs across structures and equipment. You will lead efforts to improve efficiency, manage spare parts, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an Associates degree or equivalent experience plus at least 3 years of maintenance leadership in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Associates degree in relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
3+ years of maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of machinery, carpentry, electrical maintenance principles.

Responsibilities

Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, and maintenance of equipment. (maintain safety/regulatory compliance)
Lead, mentor, support, and train the maintenance team.
Track labor utilization and efficiency to optimize productivity.
Test new machines and equipment for contract fulfillment.
Manage spare parts, materials and inventories.
Plan and schedule predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
Provide technical support and communicate process/equipment changes across departments.
Build relationships with internal departments and outside services.
Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and ISO requirements.
Enforce safety regulations and identify safety hazards for correction.
Complete additional assigned projects.
