Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all maintenance department operations, including equipment reliability, facility upkeep, and utility systems.
  • Develop and maintain a skilled maintenance team capable of supporting production operations safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Ensure equipment operates within established specifications and manufacturer tolerances.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for emergency maintenance and critical equipment issues.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to evaluate equipment modifications, upgrades, and replacement opportunities.
  • Analyze maintenance and capital expenditure proposals and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain inventory levels and controls for spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives related to maintenance, utilities, and facility operations.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, standards, and departmental policies.
  • Monitor scheduling and labor utilization to optimize productivity while minimizing overtime.
  • Lead recruitment, training, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Support and enforce workplace safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of industry standards, regulations, and best practices for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
