Job summary

The Salvation Army in Flint, MI is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. You will supervise staff, schedule preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering reliable facilities operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate or perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Initiate and manage work order system to track completion and quality.
• Estimate labor, materials, and costs for all work orders.
• Keep necessary records including maintenance log, mileage log, and OSHA log.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Supervise and train maintenance workers.
• Provide training and mentoring to promote success.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper use of PPE including gloves, masks, and back guards.
