Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety, and manage preventive maintenance programs to keep facilities running smoothly.

With at least three years of maintenance experience and solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, you will plan work orders, monitor budgets, and supervise staff while promoting a safe, compliant work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate or perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Initiate and manage work order system to track completion and quality.
• Estimate labor, materials, and costs for all work orders.
• Keep necessary records including maintenance log, mileage log, and OSHA log.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Supervise and train maintenance workers.
• Provide training and mentoring to promote success.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper use of PPE including gloves, masks, and back guards.
• Assess building systems to plan work assignments.
• Create and manage project schedules.
• Determine maintenance and repair priorities.
• Coordinate with other departments for minimal disruption.
• Available for flexible schedule including early/late shifts and some weekends
