Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Adult Rehabilitation Center. You will oversee the maintenance department, evaluate systems, plan work, and ensure efficient operations.

You will supervise staff, manage safety practices, and coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least three years of maintenance experience, and strong knowledge of building systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate or perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Initiate and manage work order system to track completion and quality.
• Estimate labor, materials, and costs for all work orders.
• Keep necessary records including maintenance log, mileage log, and OSHA log.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and compliance requirements.
• Supervise and train maintenance workers.
• Provide training and mentoring to promote success.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure proper use of PPE including gloves, masks, and back guards.
• Assess building systems to plan work assignments.
• Create and manage project schedules.
• Determine maintenance and repair priorities.
• Coordinate with other departments for minimal disruption.
