Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team and manage tasks across buildings and grounds on a full-time basis. The role includes preparing vacant units, preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, and safety compliance at the property level.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, strong supervisory experience, and hands-on skills with tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and recommending for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take initiative to improve maintenance processes and methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Ensure team meets attendance expectations and is accountable.
• Schedule and assist in supervision and selection of vendor work.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies and equipment for service, custodial and grounds teams.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour service response.
• Be available on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
