Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team at our property locations. You will manage daily maintenance tasks, prep vacant units for occupancy, and perform preventive maintenance while upholding safety standards and schedules.

Ideal candidates have HVAC, plumbing, and electrical knowledge, supervisory experience, and strong communication. This full-time role offers competitive pay ($26.00–$28.00/hr) and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate various hand tools including power tools.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Effective communication skills.
• Property maintenance/handyman experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and schedule daily maintenance tasks including preparing vacant units for occupancy and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with interviewing, screening, and making recommendations for service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Assist in training of service, housekeeping/custodial, or grounds personnel.
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Take initiative to improve processes and maintenance methods.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Hold the maintenance team accountable to ensure expectations are met.
• Schedule and assist in supervision and selection of vendor work.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and delivery of supplies for service, custodial and grounds.
• Ensure OSHA standards and safety policies are followed.
• Handle lock-outs due to evictions and provide 24-hour response to service requests.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding the property or residents.
• Remove snow and ice as necessary.
• Ensure necessary tools are on hand.
