Job summary

UniFirst is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all facility equipment functions efficiently and to improve maintenance practices. You will oversee maintenance staff, schedule preventive tasks, and manage safety and compliance across shifts.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, working with PLC systems, and coordinating with the Production Manager on budget and parts management. On-site with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school or GED preferred and a two-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• Minimum 2 years supervising maintenance personnel preferred.
• Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, CMMS is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints and manuals.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Perform basic welding to repair facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
• Follow blueprints and specifications using a documented schedule.
• Manage equipment maintenance and after-hours repairs.
• Oversee safety, regulatory and environmental compliance in maintenance.
