Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor (Finance) to oversee the general maintenance and repair of our community buildings and grounds, ensuring safe, compliant operations. You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing tasks, respond to resident work requests, and uphold local codes.

A high school diploma and 1–2 years related experience are required, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Driver's License required for vehicle travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
• Responds to maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including plumbing, electrical, heating and replacing light bulbs.
• Supervises repairs and maintains vacated rooms in a timely manner; inspects completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
• Ensures walls, floors, doors, and woodwork in common areas are properly maintained.
• Assists in training maintenance staff and coordinates with local inspectors as needed.
