Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Manager (Finance) to lead the maintenance operations for our community. The role oversees HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and general upkeep while coordinating resident repairs and improving safety standards.

Qualifications

• Supervises the community maintenance, housekeeping and laundry (if applicable) staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues and firing.
• Directs workers engaged in the maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior of the community.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
• Coordinates maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating and replacing light bulbs.
• Oversees repairs and maintenance of buildings including vacated rooms in a timely manner, including painting walls and cleaning carpets.
• Maintains walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in common areas.
• Maintains communication with local inspectors and other jurisdictions as required.
• Assesses plumbing and electrical problems and determines corrective actions in compliance with codes.
