Job summary

gpac is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 2nd shift (4pm-1am) at our Toledo, OH facility. The role oversees maintenance staff, assigns work orders, and ensures compliance with safety and procedures to minimize downtime.

Qualified candidates will have Electrician/Mechanic background with hydraulics/pneumatics, PLC knowledge, and a proven supervisory track record. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential for driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assign work orders to maintenance staff and manage day-to-day plant maintenance.

• Maintain records, charts and preventive maintenance logs.

• Support building expansion projects and environmental standards.

Job description

Maintenance Supervisor 2nd shift 4pm-1am

Purpose: Responsibility of running day-to-day maintenance for the plant. This includes assigning work orders to maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with documented procedures, driving continuous improvement and professional development of the maintenance staff. Responsible for staffing changes required to provide production coverage and reduce unplanned failures on production and facility equipment.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for installation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, etc.
• Oversees work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
• Keeps related records and charts trends.
• Ensures departmental compliance with company policies, including safety regulations.
• Assists in managing building expansion projects.
• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance checks and keeps related records.
• Aids in troubleshooting problems with machinery and equipment.
• Trains, directs, develops, supervises, evaluates subordinates.
• Member of the Uni Boring Emergency Action team and Safety Committee.
• Ensures the upkeep of exterior of building and/or yards.
• Ensures compliance of Environmental standards
• Reviews all shop supplies and MRO purchase requisitions for cost and usage.
• Performs special assignments as delegated.

Requirements

Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:

Qualified Electrician, Mechanic, Hydraulics and Pneumatics technician. Must know S.P.C. Toolmaker, Machinist, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering knowledge. Must be knowledgeable in PLC logic and systems. Must have good problem solving, analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience required.
