The Marzetti Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our plant in Luverne, Alabama. This role involves directing maintenance activities during the shift to ensure machinery and equipment function efficiently and safely.
Qualifications include 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting and strong electrical and PLC skills. Candidates must possess effective communication abilities to coordinate with employees and vendors.
Shift work involves Sun to Thurs with potential overtime and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Directs the maintenance activities on a designated shift in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the desired quality, quantity and timely maintenance of all production machinery/equipment, physical plant, utilities and grounds in accordance with federal, state and local regulations, directs & supervises Maintenance technicians and ensures compliance with company policies.
Shift: Sun - Thurs (5p - 2a)
Direct supervisor 2-4 Technicians. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and results of the maintenance area.
Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, apprising and terminating employees; planning, assigning and directing work reviews and disciplining employees. Addressing companies’ grievances and resolving problems.
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 75 pounds 25 feet or more. Must be able to stand for an 8-10-hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive work. May be required to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and moving parts/equipment. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, safety glasses, beardnets (if facial hair exists), hairnets, and steel-toed / slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
